In einer Welt voller Ablenkungen kann ein einziger, **intensiver Blick** mehr bewirken als tausend Worte – der Augenkontakt ist die **geheimnisvolle Sprache**, die jeder versteht. Deshalb wird dieser Service-Tipp in vielen weiteren Beiträgen wiederholt, um seinen großartigen Effekt zur Routine zu machen.

### **Fokus HEUTE:**

Wir halten heute mit unseren Gesprächspartner:innen, Kunden oder Gästen **bewußt Augenkontakt.** Der direkt Augenkontakt oder der Blick zwischen die Augen - öfters während des Gespräches für ein paar Sekunden - hat **starke Wirkung** in der Kommunikation:

- Augenkontakt signalisiert Offenheit und **Glaubwürdigkeit**, wodurch Vertrauen aufgebaut und Ehrlichkeit signalisiert wird.
- Augenkontakt zeigt, dass man dem Gegenüber **zuhört** und am Gespräch **interessiert** ist. Auch das Gegenüber wird **aufmerksamer** zuhören und konzentrierter am Gespräch teilnehmen.
- Augenkontakt schafft eine **emotionale Verbindung,** die Empathie und Verständnis fördert.
- Wer direkten Augenkontakt hält, wirkt **selbstbewusst** und authentisch.  
vice versa (umgekehrt genauso, in der gleichen Weise zutreffend):  
Wer selbstbewußt und authentisch ist, **wirkt** durch bewusste Augenkontakte noch **kraftvoller** und stärkt seine **Ausstrahlung.**
- Augenkontakt hilft, nonverbale **Signale zu senden** und zu empfangen, was den Kommunikationsfluss massiv fördert.

Allerdings sollte Augenkontakt natürlich und **nicht starr** wirken, um das Gespräch angenehm zu gestalten.

### Our FOCUS TODAY

Today, we consciously maintain eye contact with our conversation partners, clients, or guests. Direct eye contact – or looking between the eyes – for a few seconds throughout the conversation has a powerful impact on communication:

- Eye contact signals **openness and credibility**, helping to build trust and convey honesty.
- Eye contact shows that **you're listening** and genuinely **interested** in the conversation. In turn, the other person will also listen more attentively and participate more focused.
- Eye contact creates an **emotional connection**, which fosters empathy and understanding.
- Those who maintain direct eye contact appear **confident and authentic.**  
*Vice versa*: those who are confident and authentic can further enhance their presence and impact through intentional eye contact.
- Eye contact helps send and receive **nonverbal signals**, which significantly improves the flow of communication.

However, eye contact should feel natural and not intense or fixed in order to keep the conversation comfortable.
